Global health for young people, Fondation Botnar
Dr. Alexander Schulze has been engaged in international development cooperation for the last twenty years, with a focus on global health topics. He has occupied different positions in corporate philanthropy and governmental development cooperation, ranging from communications, project management and senior advisory functions, to lead positions with budget, finance, strategic and human resource responsibilities. In global/international health, his focus areas are quality of health systems and care, health financing and social health protection including insurance schemes, and access to health products, technologies and services.
Alexander's interest also lies in connecting health with other topics and sectors such as social protection, education or rural development.Currently, he works with the fondarion botnar in "global health for young and is ad personam member of The Global Fund's Ethics and Governance Committee. He has also been Steering Group Co-Chair of the Global Network for Health Financing and Social Protection (P4H) and member of the Advisory Council to The Lancet Global Health Commission on High-Quality Health Systems in the SDG era.
