Online, on-site, and hybrid courses

  • Online: the facilitators will be online, but a classroom will be available in Lugano for on-site participants to take the online course.
  • On-site: participation is on-site in Lugano only - no online participation. The classes will take place at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI).
  • Hybrid: at least one facilitator will be on-site in Lugano, but participation is both on-site and online. For those on-site, classes will take place at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI).

Pricing Additional Information

  • Reduced fees are also available for doctoral students of the SSPH+ Inter-university Graduate Campus and for the LSS partner universities students and employees - USI, SUPSI and SWISS TPH. Please contact info@ssph-lugano-summerschool.ch to learn more about the prices and get the discount code. Students should provide a proof of enrollment.
  • Plenaries are free and open to public.
  • In case of onsite participation, some facilities offer special prices for LSS participants. Find out more in the FAQ section.

Scholarship Opportunities

  • A limited number of online, hub, partial on-site, and full-onsite scholarship are available for courses.
  • All information for scholarship application is available in the dedicated guidelines document.
  • After carefully reading the guidelines, you can submit your application here. The deadline for application is March 5, 2025, at 23:30 CET.
  • If you missed our Scholarship Information Session you can find the presentation and questions asked from participants here.
  • If you have applied for a scholarship you DO NOT have to register in the regular registration system (Conftool).

Registration and Cancellation T&C

  • The registration of participation is binding.
  • If you have to cancel your registration before August 1st, 30% of the total fee will be retained. If you have to cancel your registration after August 1st, no refund will be made.
  • The participation fees are owed upon registration.
  • If you are eligible for a discount code but you do not ask for it before registration, the discount will not be applicable afterwards.
  • Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received.
  • The course program may be subject to changes.
  • Payments will be refunded if the course will be cancelled by the organizer. In that case, the organizer will have no further liability to the client. Registrations remain valid if the course has to be postponed or format changed.
