Dr. Prodan has over 25 years of professional experience in software development and 20 years of experience in IT project management and system design encompassing diverse industries such as healthcare, finance, recruitment and computer-aided manufacturing. His main research interests are in the areas of dynamic data-driven computer modelling and simulation, in particular applications of agent-based modelling, meta-programming, and data science techniques to diverse problems in epidemiology and public health. He has worked on a number of projects in partnership with health departments, private industry, and academic institutions on topics such as smoking and COPD, healthcare service optimisation, alcohol harm reduction, cardiovascular disease, and suicide prevention.
