Dr Janet Michel

Dr. Janet Michel, PhD in Epidemiology, Basel University, Switzerland is a Health Policy and Systems Researcher with over 25 years of experience working in health systems in Sub-Saharan Africa, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, Lesotho, South Africa and more recently Switzerland. She has published several frameworks namely: the five-factor policy implementation and evaluation framework, a digital tool evaluation framework and the Impact Evaluation framework to facilitate the design of research and interventions for impact from the outset. Her work focuses on impact evaluation utilizing mixed methods, human centred design (HCD), participatory and empowering approaches like training for transformation, appreciative and reflective inquiries.
