Dr. Marco Bardus

Dr. Marco Bardus is an Assistant Professor in Public Health at the University of Birmingham, specializing in health communication and social marketing applied to public health. He is deputy lead of the Master of Public Health program, with a mandate on academic integrity.

His research focuses on the design and evaluation of digital health interventions to prevent public health issues. He has extensively researched the ethical implications of using digital tools, like mobile apps and social media, in health promotion. Dr. Bardus is also interested in the interlink between eHealth literacy and health inequalities, particularly in low-resource settings and countries.
