Emilia Campello holds a Bachelor in "Language, Culture, and Society of Asia and Mediterranean Africa" (Modern Languages and Civilisations) at the University Ca' Foscari of Venice, and a Master’s degree in "African and Asian Studies" (International Relations) at the University of Pavia with a research thesis conducted in Zarqa, Jordan. After her academic studies, Emilia worked in the humanitarian sector, mainly with migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers, within different NGOs in Greece, Jordan, and Italy as Project Assistant and Grant Officer Assistant.
Emilia is currently working as project coordinator of the SSPH+ Lugano Summer School in Public Health Policy, Economics, and Management (LSS), where she manages and carries out tasks that cover the entire LSS project cycle, from planning to implementation and programme evaluation. She also manages the Swiss Plexus Scholarship Programme and the LSS Learning Hubs. In addition to LSS, she is involved in other projects, such as a European-funded project on green transition, and supports the communication activities of the Choosing Wisely group of the European Academy of Paediatrics.
